Trained in metal construction, François Lugon understands construction from both materials and hands-on work. He started in the drying business in 1998, then founded Lugon Assèchement in 2007 to offer an independent and conscientious service.
Today, the family business continues to operate in Valais with the same standards: a project handled without rush, a file followed end to end, and a client who recovers dry walls and peace of mind.
A claim is a shock and comes with a lot of paperwork. We take care of everything we can, working directly with your insurance company.
Based in Martigny, we mainly operate throughout the French-speaking Valais, and we travel as needed across French-speaking Switzerland for projects entrusted to us.
Transparency is part of how we work. Here are our rates and the typical price ranges you can expect, so you can approach your situation with peace of mind.
For non-urgent requests: quotes, questions, project follow-up. We'll get back to you quickly.
The right actions, the steps to take, and the questions we hear the most.
Shut off the water at the main valve. The valve is usually located at the entrance of the home, in the basement, or near the water meter. If you cannot find it or access it, contact your property manager or the fire department (118).
Also turn off the electricity in any areas affected by water if possible, to prevent any risk. Then call us: +41 79 670 90 51. The sooner we act, the less secondary damage there will be.
Both, in any order. In an emergency (water still flowing, significant damage), call us first: we'll act quickly to limit the damage. You can report the claim to your insurance afterwards.
For non-urgent cases, you can call your insurance first. But know that we handle the entire insurance file for you, so you don't have to worry about it.
Yes, in the vast majority of cases. In Switzerland, building or contents insurance (depending on the type of damage) covers the cost of drying and restoration after accidental water damage. The deductible and exact terms depend on your contract.
We prepare a quote according to your insurance standards and have it validated directly by your claims adviser. You generally don't have to pay anything upfront.
Between 1 and 6 weeks depending on the situation. A small localized damage on drywall takes a few days. A soaked screed or concrete floor may require 3 to 6 weeks with dehumidifiers and blowers.
We measure humidity regularly and only stop the drying when target values are reached. Not before. This is the guarantee there will be no mould later.
There is no fixed rate: it all depends on the surface, material type, and required duration. As a guideline:
A small localized damage (50-200 CHF/day equipment over 1-2 weeks) → 800 to 2,500 CHF. A medium damage in one room → 2,500 to 6,000 CHF. A major damage across several rooms → 6,000 to 20,000 CHF.
In all cases, we prepare a free detailed quote before any intervention, and insurance generally covers everything.
Yes, in 9 cases out of 10. Our dehumidifiers are designed to run with occupants present. They are relatively quiet (similar to a refrigerator) and emit nothing harmful.
The only real downside is the constant noise and slightly drier air. For very large damage or main bedrooms, some prefer to sleep elsewhere during the drying. This is to discuss case by case with your insurance, which may cover temporary accommodation if needed.
Mould is a sign that moisture was present too long in the structure. They must not be ignored: they can cause respiratory issues and continue to spread as long as moisture remains.
We treat mould during the post-drying restoration: surface decontamination, biocide treatment, replacement of severely affected materials. This is included in our water damage services and covered by insurance.
Yes, 7 days a week. Water damage doesn't follow office hours. For any emergency (burst pipe, flooding, major incident), call: +41 79 670 90 51, any time.
We arrive in less than 2 hours in central Valais, and across French-speaking Switzerland as needed.
